Announcing Partnership With Ziplist

I am so excited to announce the partnership of nisahomey.com with Ziplist, an online convenient tool that stores all of your favorite recipes (wow!!), and also helps you to plan your meals, and creates grocery shopping lists, and even helps you find grocery savings in your area.

Ziplist provides a free service which helps you to save and organize recipes from your favorite food blog. Yes, I know this made you smile; personally, I too love to save recipes from my favorite food blogs and that is why I am so excited to share this with you.

I have added a Ziplist  button (Recipe Box) at the top navigation bar, which will help you to easily access the Ziplist services and save recipes not only from nisahomey.com but also from any other food blog you come across.

Saving a recipe from Nisahomey.com to your recipe box is a breeze! You just have to click on the "Recipe Button" which is next to the "Recipes" on the top navigational bar. See the picture below for reference.

As Ziplist is a free service, joining them is super easy and hassle free and it won't take much time to sign in using your email id or you can login using the id of social networking sites like facebook or twitter. If you prefer you can create your own username and password as well.  I am sure, you will love to use this tool  as it is very good to organize recipes as well as search recipes from thousands of recipes.

Another plus point is that Ziplist Mobile App from which you can easily access the saved recipes, your shopping list etc from you mobile phone.  You can also access grocery deals in big outlets like Walmart or Trader Joe's online.

There are many sites that has partnered with Ziplist and now you can tag them, filter them, use search option to look for saved recipes etc. Not to mention, that these saved recipes can be shared with your friends and family member and the most interesting thing I like is that each family member can also add his/her favorite recipe to the list....double wow!

And now the best part all these services and the mobile app is totally free!! If you find this exciting then click here to add your favorite recipes from your favorite blogs.

Pidiyum kozhiyum or kottayam style pidi is a traditional knanaya cuisine ; these rice dumpling have a thick gravy like sauce, unlike the dry versions of Malabar kakka roti or kozhi pidi. Knanaya style pidi is served with varutharacha kozhi curry. Traditionally, pidi is associated with baby shower ie when the daughter-in-law is sent to her parents house for delivery, it is customary for the mother-in-law to make kozhi pidi and we knanaya people still follow these traditions. My main aim is to preserve this recipe; so that the future generations can enjoy this wholesome dish. Pidi is rice dumplings which is simmered in water along with shallots, garlic, curry leaves, and coriander seeds; but I have used coriander powder instead to make the whole process easy. Amma mentioned that if using coriander seeds then; the water used to mix the rice flour should be sieved and that using fresh roasted coriander powder saves time.
