Hello there! Welcome to my shop. I am Nisa Homey and I have been creating recipes since 2010 through my blog and YouTube channels. Here, you will be able to shop products handmade by me, like millet granola, sourdough cookies, and and khapli wheat cookies.

What makes products at Nisa Homey different?

Nisa Homey, is a women owned micro bakery based in Kochi, creating small-batch handmade products made with real ingredients, rooted in tradition with focus on nutrition. All our ingredients are 100% traceable.

What do you offer?

We specialise in sprouted millet granola, sourdough NYC style cookies, and ancient grain Khapli Wheat Cookies - nutrient dense and gut friendly.

Why Sprouted Millet Granola?

Sprouting makes grains like millets, nuts, and seeds easier to digest and more nutrient dense. It is minimally sweetened with natural sweeteners and free from refined sugar, refined oil, preservatives, additives, artificial flavours.

What makes your sourdough cookies different?

At Nisa Homey, our cookies are crafted using sourdough starter — sourdough is a natural fermentation process which helps to break down gluten, it takes time, patience, and care for fermentation. We don’t use commercial yeast or shortcuts. Each cookie is handmade in small batches, rested for hours to ferment and develop bold flavor, then baked fresh to order. The result? Thick, chunky New York-style cookies that are crispy on the outside, gooey in the center, and rich in taste — with the added benefit of being easier to digest.

Why ancient grain khapli wheat (emmer wheat) cookies?

Khapli wheat is a an ancient heritage grain, that has a weak gluten molecule, its rich in fibre, and easier to digest.

What Makes Your NYC cookies different?

At Nisa Homey, NYC style chocolate chip walnut cookies are made using my 5 year old sourdough starter and fermented for 36 hours. The long natural fermentation helps to breakdown gluten and other compounds making it easier to digest, especially for those with gluten sensitivities. Its loaded with premium couverture chocolate chips.

What is a sourdough cookie?

A sourdough cookie is made using a natural levain (wild yeast culture) instead of commercial leavening agents. This traditional method breaks down gluten and sugars during fermentation, creating a cookie that’s not only flavorful and soft in texture but also gentler on your gut. Think classic indulgent cookies, upgraded with gut-friendly benefits.

Why does sourdough take so long?

Great question — real flavor takes time. Sourdough fermentation can take up to 36 hours or more, but trust us: your gut (and tastebuds) will thank you.

Do sourdough cookies taste sour?

Nope! While the dough is fermented with a sourdough starter, the taste is anything but sour. The long fermentation adds complexity and richness to the flavor — not sharpness — giving you a deeply satisfying cookie experience.

Why do you bake in small batches?

Quality over quantity. At Nisa Homey Bakes, every cookie and loaf is made with love, care, and time. Baking in small batches allows us to focus on crafting each product to perfection, ensuring you get the freshest, most flavorful bakes. Small batches mean we can hand-select ingredients, maintain consistency, and avoid waste — while giving each order the attention it deserves.

Do you offer eggless or vegan options?

Our cookies may contain eggs and dairy, but we’re constantly working on eggless and dairy-free alternatives. Watch our Instagram and website for updates on special batches and new launches!

What is special about your granola?

Our granola is made with whole ingredients and ancient grains like sprouted millets, handcrafted to be both delicious and nourishing. Lightly sweetened with organic jaggery and it’s free from refined sugars, refined oil, preservatives, stabilisers, artificial flavours, artificial colours, and artificial additives. Perfect as a breakfast cereal, snack, or topping, it’s a wholesome way to add crunch and nutrition to your day.

How do I store the cookies?

Cookies are best eaten fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temp for 2 - 3 weeks. You can also warm them slightly in the oven ( 6 mins at 180 C) before serving to bring back that just-baked magic.

How do I place an order?

You can place your order directly through our website: nisahomeybakes.com. Simply choose your
items and confirm your order. We bake to order, so pre-ordering is essential for bread and bulk ordering of cookies. Small batches of cookies will be available to order.
