Ceremonial cacao or cocoa has its roots in ancient civilisations such as the Mayans and Aztecs, who revered cacao as a sacred gift.

What Makes Ceremonial Cacao Different?

Ceremonial cacao is not the same as commercial chocolate. While most chocolate products are highly processed and diluted with milk, sugars and additives, ceremonial cacao is minimally processed, non alkalised, and made from high-quality cacao beans, and retains its natural fats, and nutrients.

Though the use of ceremonial cacao in India is still emerging, its presence is growing rapidly as more people reconnect with ancestral wisdom, conscious living, and intentional rituals.

Benefits of Ceremonial Cocoa

  • Rich in Antioxidants – One of the most powerful natural sources of antioxidants, cacao helps combat oxidative stress and supports overall vitality

  • Natural Mood Enhancer – Contains theobromine and phenylethylamine, known to uplift mood and promote feelings of joy and openness

  • Supports Heart Health – Naturally occurring flavonoids help improve circulation.

  • Enhances Focus & Clarity – A gentle, sustained energy that supports meditation, creativity, and deep presence

  • Heart-Opening & Grounding – Traditionally used to connect with emotions, intuition, and inner wisdom

How to Prepare Ceremonial Cacao

1. Choose Quality
Start with high-quality, organic ceremonial cacao. Our cacao is single origin, sourced from the Western Ghats Of Kerala and is known for its high cocoa butter content (53-55%)

2. Measure Your Dose

  • Beginners: 15 gm
  • Moderate: 28 gm
  • Experienced users: 42 gm

3. Heat the Water
Heat water until just below boiling. Boiling water can reduce cacao’s beneficial compounds. If boiled, allow it to cool for about a minute.

4. Blend with Care
Add the cacao to a mug, pour in hot water, and whisk or froth until smooth.
Optional additions:

  • A splash of milk of your choice. Natural sweeteners like coconut sugar, palm jaggery, or kakvi (optional, preferably for beginners who are not used to the natural bitter taste of real cacao).

  • Spices such as turmeric, cinnamon or chili

  • Herbs like maca or shatavari

  • A small pinch of sea salt to deepen flavor

5. Set an Intention
Before drinking, pause and set a clear intention—healing, clarity, creativity, grounding, or self-love.

6. Drink Mindfully
Sip slowly. Breathe. Stay present. Allow the cacao to guide you inward.

Did you know? Ceremonial cacao shouldn’t contain anything that didn’t come from a cacao bean, ie. sugar, lecithin, stabilisers, or substitute vegetable fats.

What Is Cacao? Cacao is the super healthy, minimally processed form of chocolate. Cacao is made from the beans of the Theobroma Cacao tree. These beans are an important ingredient in chocolate and the only ingredient in our 100% Pure Ceremonial Grade Cacao. The words 'cacao' and 'cocoa' are sometimes used interchangeably, but they are not the same. Most chocolate and cocoa products (and even some labeled ‘cacao’) are heavily processed, stripping away beneficial nutrients and compounds. Our cacao is a 100% whole food, retaining the cacao butter and nutritional & spiritual value that nature intended when creating this powerful superfood.

Single-Origin Cocoa from the Western Ghats of Kerala.
Sourced from God’s Own Country, these natural cocoa beans are celebrated for their high cocoa butter content and natural fruity notes (flavor). Ethically grown, consciously processed, and crafted in small batches.

A rare expression of Kerala’s finest cacao—simple, honest, and exceptional.

Made with Real Ingredients: 100% Pure Whole Cacao (Made from whole cacao beans)

Storage Instructions: Once opened transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry, and hygienic place away from strong odours. Keep under 22°C. Best before 2 months from packaging date.

NOTE: Unlike chocolate bars, ceremonial cacao is not tempered—allowing it to retain its natural fats and energetic properties, just as it has been prepared traditionally. The 100% chocolate is in its natural form which means it has the naturally occuring cacao butter which is about 53% - 55%. The natural cocoa butter sometimes may cause fat bloom. Fat bloom occurs when chocolate experiences a drastic change in temperature. The cocoa butter in chocolate melts and separates from the other ingredients. The fats travel to the surface of the chocolate and cause a whitish grey residue that feels greasy and leaves the chocolate crumbly.

Our single origin natural cacao is ethically sourced from the Western Ghats of Kerala, supporting local farmers and delivering premium quality in every sip.

Crafted in Kerala. Proudly Indian.
