Marble Cake Recipe

Marble cake.....or rather my favorite marble cake. Warm spongy marble cake with a glass of milk=.heaven...it brings back nostalgic childhood memories of amma's cakes. Since I favor volume cooking I am addicted to cups and spoons.....I hate to weigh flour, butter etc...its so time consuming and irritating....some how volume cooking works out fine for me...even for baking...touchwood. *I am not a professional baker, I bake things. I use what I have on hand most of the time which means salted butter instead of unsalted, and use substitutes for cake flour, brown sugar, buttermilk etc. So, if you are an experienced baker, take note and adjust accordingly. Since this cake calls for cake flour...do not panic and there is no need to buy cake flour when you can make it at home, to make 1 cup of cake flour: put 2 tbsp of corn flour into a cup and fill it with flour. and sieve......your homemade cake flour is ready. Buttermilk substitute: To make 1 cup, pour 1 tbsp of lemon juic

Easy Fried Rice...step by step.

Fried rice; today, I am going to show you how I make Fried Rice .....Chinese fried rice....yes the easy way....restaurant style minus.... ajinomoto a.k.a  mono sodium gultamate (is a salt and added in Chinese cuisine to enhance the taste of a particular dish)! I do not use this for my food!!...have you ever felt thirsty or wanting to drink water more and more....after you had a hearty meal at a restaurant!! if yes!! then you know whom I am talking about. My daughters favorite....my favorite.....and it will be your favorite after you make it....I promise. Vegetable fried rice is the best way to include veggies in your kids diet.... I add eggs to fried rice, if you are a vegetarian you can omit that.....and oh! on special occasions I add chicken too (just cook 200 gm chicken with salt, pepper and 1 1/2 tsp of soya sauce, after it is cooled, shred them into bits, and add it after you stir fry the vegetables).....you can also throw in some prawns....YUM! KFC Fried Chicken Recipe - How To Make KFC Fried Chicken AT Home

KFC style fried chicken, learn to make kfc fried chicken at home. Homemade fried chicken ....my kids call it amma's KFC fried chicken. Sometimes I cut the chicken into long strips (boneless) and my kids call it ChicKing chicken strips . My kids cannot tolerate KFC chicken , they get stomach upset and because they like fried chicken so much, I googled and googled ....researched....and finally perfected this recipe. No nasty chemicals or weird stuff, just perfect. Last Sunday when I made this I was finally able to take some pics and since there was no cornflakes in the pantry, I altogether omitted it, and used coarse breadcrumbs (do not use fine breadcrumb; we need coarse breadcrumbs for this recipe). So do not hesitate to make fried chicken if you ran out of cornflakes and yes you can also use oats instead of cornflakes for a more healthier version, but the color after frying will be on the darker side. My version is so simple and easy to make.....you can als
