How To Make Breaded Chicken Burger

Chicken burger!! Yes!! homemade breaded chicken burger!!. I am going to show you how to make breaded chicken step by step....right from grounding the chicken to making it into a pattie and assembling this awesome burger. So very healthy and so very homemade...perfect for kids and you!!

I am a cilantro girl...I love cilantro to bits...I love the flavor, and love the fact that it takes an Indian curry to the next level if garnished with it ...well atleast to me....I freak out if I ran out of it, so I stock it up....religiously...funny? eh? okay...you got the point, I am using cilantro in this yummy burger...because iceberg lettuce or salad lettuce as it is commonly known here is expensive....and to me the pauper alternative is cilantro.....okay you choose, cilantro or iceberg lettuce!!

This burger was born because of my kids obsession with chicken burger, that too ground breaded chicken burger....my kids cannot tolerate store bought fast food....and they loved me, bribed me, hugged me, irritated me, and nagged me to make a homemade version...and they won!

Only after I made this; it dawned to me that it is so easy and quick....homemade and healthy too...so just follow my directions and get cooking.

Tip: With this chicken I got 2 large patties and 12-14 nuggets.
Author: Nisa Homey.
Ingredients:
To mince:
Chicken: 300 gms.
Garlic: 7-8 cloves.
Worcestershire sauce: 1 tsp.
Pepper powder: 11/2 tsp.
Shallots: 6.
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp, I added purely for its health benefits; you can skip it if you do not like it.
Egg: 1.
Bread slices: 2, crumbled.
Salt: 1 tsp or as needed.

For the crumb coating:
Panko or homemade breadcrumbs: 1 packet.
Cornflour: 1/2 cup.
Egg: 1, beaten.
Pepper powder: 1 tsp.(this is just to season the breadcrumbs).

To assemble:
1 bun.
1 tsp butter.
1 cheese slice.
1 slice onion.
1 tsp mayonnaise.
1 tsp tomato sauce.
Few cilantro or one iceberg lettuce or 1 baby spinach.

Method:
Put the chicken, garlic, cloves, pepper, shallots, salt, and Worcestershire sauce in the food processor

And pulse for a few minutes or until the chicken is grounded.

Crumble two slices of bread in a small dry grinder and pulse to get breadcrumbs or use 1/4 panko breadcrumbs. Do read this post on breadcrumbs.

Transfer the chicken into a large bowl, add the breadcrumbs and the egg.

I added 1/2 tsp turmeric powder....omit if you do not prefer it.

Knead everything together with hand; make large ball.

Flatten with both hands into a pattie. I made two patties one for the princess and one for the prince :)

The rest, I shaped into nuggets to freeze. Here we go, ready to bread up the patties.  Starting left; flour, breadcrumbs with pepper, beaten egg, and container to store/freeze them......center; two patties and the rest.

Dip the chicken into flour.

Then into the beaten egg.

Then into the breadcrumbs; if you want a really thick crumb coat you should again dip into egg then into breadcrumbs...but I didnt do it.

I did the same with the nugget shaped ones......I freezed them for later use :)

Meanwhile, cut the buns into half. Heat a pan...add butter, simmer the fire and toast the buns...oh! pls dont skip the butter...it is a must.

You can cook the chicken patties in two ways;
Shallow fry...

Or deep fry..

Ready to assemble!! spread a tsp of mayo on the toasted bun, then spread a tsp of tomato sauce.

Place the hot sizzling chicken patties, then the cheese slice (it will start to melt because of the heat of the pattie and the bun), top with onion slice, cilantro...cover with the other half of bun.

Yay, you have just made the best homemade breaded chicken burger. Serve immediately.

Turmeric Tea Mix Recipe For Weight Loss - Homemade/DIY (Golden) Turmeric Tea Mix

turmeric tea mix - diy turmeric mix to make turmeric tea or golden milk. turmeric tea for weight loss, for a flat belly, stomach bloating, and for overall health. this homemade mix is an excellent fat burner and also will boost immunity. have this on empty stomach in the morning for best results. the active ingredient in turmeric known as curcumin has powerful anti inflammatory effects and is a strong anti oxidant. curcumin is not easily absorbed by the body and that is the reason inspite of us Indians having lots of turmeric in our diet, do not get its full benefits. black pepper is the one natural ingredient that helps the curcumin to be absorbed into the body by around 2000%, wow! So, do not skip black pepper when taking turmeric. All the ingredients I used in this homemade turmeric tea mix are locally acquired and organic. curcumin/turmeric is fat soluble so it is also a good option to have a warm cup after a heavy meal. studies shows that turmeric can prevent cancer, h

Pidiyum Kozhiyum Recipe - How To Make Kerala Style Kozhi Pidi - Kerala Recipes

Pidiyum kozhiyum or kottayam style pidi is a traditional knanaya cuisine ; these rice dumpling have a thick gravy like sauce, unlike the dry versions of Malabar kakka roti or kozhi pidi. Knanaya style pidi is served with varutharacha kozhi curry. Traditionally, pidi is associated with baby shower ie when the daughter-in-law is sent to her parents house for delivery, it is customary for the mother-in-law to make kozhi pidi and we knanaya people still follow these traditions. My main aim is to preserve this recipe; so that the future generations can enjoy this wholesome dish. Pidi is rice dumplings which is simmered in water along with shallots, garlic, curry leaves, and coriander seeds; but I have used coriander powder instead to make the whole process easy. Amma mentioned that if using coriander seeds then; the water used to mix the rice flour should be sieved and that using fresh roasted coriander powder saves time. I have made a video recipe and I hope this you help
