Garlic Pull-Apart Rolls...step by step.

Picture updated minus the grated carrot!
Garlic pull-apart rolls are so pillow soft that the moment you bake them you feel proud as a baker. These garlic rolls are eggless and so easy to make....all it takes is just 2 hours!! and that makes it one of my frequently baked homemade bread.

I made this as an after-school-surprise for my kids and believe me it was the most fluffiest and spongiest rolls....and it came out just fine in the first try...so that makes this special right??? I just added one grated carrot to the garlic mix .......the rolls were enough to satisfy two hungry kids. Nidhi had it with tomato sauce and she wanted me to bake another set to take to school and Cheriyan wanted the filling to be with chicken the next time....so I had some left over chicken fry and I added those shredded chicken pieces to the garlic mix and it came out just great too!!!
UPDATE/ Jun 15, 2016
Check out my video on how to make garlic rolls on tawa/skillet on the gas stove.

Ingredients for the dough:
Flour/maida: 1 1/2 cups.
Warm water: 1/2 cup.
Instant yeast: 1/2 tsp.
Salt: 1/2 tsp.
Sugar: 1 tbsp.
Olive oil/butter/ghee: 1-2 tsp.

To make garlic spread:
Salted butter: 5 to 6 tbsp.
Coriander leaves chopped: 2 tbsp.
Grated carrot: 1 (optional)
Minced garlic: 3 to 4 cloves.

Method:
1. Mix everything together with the warm water (except the oil) and bring it into a smooth dough. (Yes....you guessed right no need to ferment yeast separately.) Then add oil to your finger tips and knead until the dough springs back when you press with your finger.

2. Cover with a wet towel and keep in a warm place for 35 to 40 min...it will double its initial size. In the meantime make the garlic spread by mixing all the ingredients and keep aside.

3. Grease a baking dish and keep aside. Knock down the air in the dough and and divided the dough into 2 equal parts and roll the dough into 1/2 inch thickness using a rolling pin; apply flour to prevent sticking. Spread about 2 tbsp garlic spread on top.

4. Roll it firmly and cut into 4 equal parts and place them (cut side up) on the greased dish. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining dough.

5. Brush a little milk on the rolls and add the remaining garlic spread on top. Again cover it with a wet cloth and keep for another 20 min........bake them for 30 min in a preheated oven.

6. Just out of the oven!!!.

Serve hot!!!!

UPDATE: June 9th 2013-I updated the pictures, since I make this most weekends, in the updated picture, I did not add carrots, also I kept one of my old pic, to let me remind myself from where I started :). Thank you for all your support, my beautiful friends.

  30. I made them yesterday and they were the softest and best rolls we have ever eaten. My whole family just loved them, and they disappeared in ten minutes flat! Have you tried reducing the butter? I want to make it a little less rich next time and I will let you know how it turns out with half the butter.

Turmeric Tea Mix Recipe For Weight Loss - Homemade/DIY (Golden) Turmeric Tea Mix

turmeric tea mix - diy turmeric mix to make turmeric tea or golden milk. turmeric tea for weight loss, for a flat belly, stomach bloating, and for overall health. this homemade mix is an excellent fat burner and also will boost immunity. have this on empty stomach in the morning for best results. the active ingredient in turmeric known as curcumin has powerful anti inflammatory effects and is a strong anti oxidant. curcumin is not easily absorbed by the body and that is the reason inspite of us Indians having lots of turmeric in our diet, do not get its full benefits. black pepper is the one natural ingredient that helps the curcumin to be absorbed into the body by around 2000%, wow! So, do not skip black pepper when taking turmeric. All the ingredients I used in this homemade turmeric tea mix are locally acquired and organic. curcumin/turmeric is fat soluble so it is also a good option to have a warm cup after a heavy meal. studies shows that turmeric can prevent cancer, h

I promise it won't....there wouldn't be too much eggy flavor! caramel flavor can do wonders!! Believe me!! I am using my steamer or appachembu as it is known locally to cook the pudding. Pidiyum Kozhiyum Recipe - How To Make Kerala Style Kozhi Pidi - Kerala Recipes

Pidiyum kozhiyum or kottayam style pidi is a traditional knanaya cuisine ; these rice dumpling have a thick gravy like sauce, unlike the dry versions of Malabar kakka roti or kozhi pidi. Knanaya style pidi is served with varutharacha kozhi curry. Traditionally, pidi is associated with baby shower ie when the daughter-in-law is sent to her parents house for delivery, it is customary for the mother-in-law to make kozhi pidi and we knanaya people still follow these traditions. My main aim is to preserve this recipe; so that the future generations can enjoy this wholesome dish. Pidi is rice dumplings which is simmered in water along with shallots, garlic, curry leaves, and coriander seeds; but I have used coriander powder instead to make the whole process easy. Amma mentioned that if using coriander seeds then; the water used to mix the rice flour should be sieved and that using fresh roasted coriander powder saves time. I have made a video recipe and I hope this you help
